A practice environment I've been working on over the last 3 weeks, as a way to get familiar with Unreal Engine 5, its material systems, Blueprints, and using Lumen for lighting.
Before the studio I worked for went under, we were focused exclusively on Unity, so it was pretty cool to discover what aspects of Unreal 5 were similar (Material Graphs are almost the same, and Blueprints are basically just Prefabs), and what aspects were totally different (mostly Nanite Meshes and Lumen lighting).
I still haven't gotten over the fact that Lumen doesn't use baked lighting AT ALL.
